A shared password manager

Staff keep passwords in a password manager instead of reusing them.

Reused passwords are how one breach becomes many. A password manager makes unique passwords painless.

How a small firm does it

  1. Choose one business password manager for everyone.
  2. Use it to share passwords instead of email or chat.
  3. Ask staff to replace reused passwords, starting with email and banking.
  4. Remove leavers from it on their last day.

Evidence that shows it

  • The password manager's admin view showing who has access
  • Your policy line that requires it
